Hi there! My name is Janet Hines, sometimes I go by Jannn Jammm as like an “artist name” that stems from an old nickname I had in high school. I am a self taught acrylic painter, born and raised in San Diego, where I still reside. I studied at UCSD where I got a Political Science-International Relations degree back in 2020. I have always been a very creative person and I have painted my entire life. Naturally, I began self teaching and investing more in my painting around 2020. I also started learning sculpture with clay in recent months. I’ve always appreciated logic and science but my paintings touch on elements that cannot be explained with reason. I like to believe my style of artwork is a reflection of dark, weird, fun, yet happy, colorful, bright. I am constantly influenced by music, nature, and my life.

Look inside and you might find a different meaning
